Cabbage! Just picked from the cottage garden this evening.
Ok, these puppies are almost atomic in size! Freshly picked this evening from the cottage garden, it goes to show you the results you can have in your garden from home composting. The kitchen garden here on the grounds is constructed of raised beds where we add compost and manure every time we rotate crops seasonally. This small crop of ENORMOUS cabbage is becoming homemade sauerkraut that would make any Eastern European villager envious.....Just think Reuben sandwiches for lunch on a warm fall day.
